We received an update from our friend Heldor about his travels. Every so often he will send us a taste of what we are missing as he travels through Europe. We look forward to hearing more about his adventures!

On December 18th, the centre held an Appreciation Tea for our Senior Reassurance group and Volunteers! We had a wonderful performance by the Sunshine Clowns and delicious treats following. A fabulous way to show our Appreciation to all our Volunteers that make the centre run. Senior Reassurance clients and Life members were welcomed as well. Great to see our daily phone call friends!

James Bay New Horizons Christmas Cracker was a wonderful success! With a fabulous performance from our Saints and Singers group singing classic Christmas carols it went off without a hitch! Many thanks to the Special Events Committee, Saints & Singers, Volunteers and Staff.

Helping people with limited incomes access recreation opportunities.

Each family member will receive a coupon booklet for program discounts at any Saanich Recreation Centre. Each family member over 5 years of age (under 5 years are free) also receive a 52 free admission card to use for drop-in activities at any recreation centre in Greater Victoria (swimming, skating, weight room & fitness)

To Apply:

Pick up an application form at any Greater Victoria Recreation Centre, as well as; at James Bay New Horizons. Complete the application form.

Take the application for Greater Victoria Recreation Centre or James Bay New Horizons, along with: Proof of Victoria residency (utility bill or driver's license) BC Care Card for every family member.

Every family member must have their photo taken for the admission card

If you qualify, a coupon booklet and admission card will be immediately issued to every member of the family.
